was wanting to put hardwood in kitchen, however, should I pull base cabinets out before and go under them, my concern is just going up to the dishwasher and than not ever being able to get it out if it needs replaced, however if I pull the dishwasher out and put wood under it, it wont fit between counter and floor? anyone ever ran into this before? or would it just be best to pull counter and cabinets and do it all?

  1. I would put in a new dishwasher, then put the floor down in front of it.

  2. you know something i bought a house and they tiled it up tpo the dishwasher and when i have to replce it im screwed   SO  i would go under but your going to have a problem getting the dishwasher in so you cant do that so what would i do? i would put linolium down and then if you redo the whole kitchen and cabnets thats when you go wall to wall with wood theres no easy answer

  3. Check the adjustment screws on dishwasher and height of refer also..........where I live you need 34'' of clearance to get a dishwasher in or out........but in stead of taking all the cabinets out I would plow some groves with router as to allow for dishwasher to slide in........if you have a good friend you may be able to tilt and work it in slowly...........I've done that a couple of times also...........good luck.............are you laying right on subfloor or are you laying for an underlayment....if so,,,cut the underlayment out....paper between floors and nail it in.............bye
