Instant fisherman rods

i have got a instant fisherman ro and im thinking of using it today is it any good ?

No, it's one of those tv gimmicks. It may look "new" and "interesting", but its internal gears are nothing more than "pot metal".  I think its design is simple, untrustworthy, and made from the cheapest of materials. How good is the drag?, how smooth is that "internal" reel? Products from infomercials can be some of the worst junk out there. I need to have confidence in my gear when I'm fishing, and I have a lot of reservations about that thing. Nothing beats a good old traditional rod and reel IMHO. I would hate for you to get all geared up and head to the lake, only to get there and be disappointed in your gear. Take a back up rod and reel just in case. Hope things work out in your favor!

Only one way to find out. The best way to find out is to try it. Others might have bought one & it didn't work the way they wanted so to them it was no good. This you can say: at least I tried it.
