Instant messaging on the Lg VU CU920?

i just bought the lg vu through at&t and i love it its a great phone...i do have a question hopefully you can help me out..i instant message on my phone and sometimes when I'm talking to a buddy their message fails and its really annoying cause it happens alot...Does anyone know why it does this and has it happened to you, and also what did you do

I also have the media max unlimited data plan if that helps.

Try restoring the phone back to factory setting and maybe that will solve the problem other wise call AT&T about this OR since you have unlimited data then download a 3rd party messenger on the phone such as E-Buddy or Fring and start using it for free..
