Instant rebate?

i want to buy a phone from alltel i already have a plan, just want a new phone. The retail price for the phone is 219.99 but then it says 150.00 instant rebate. how does this work? am i only going to have to pay 70? help?

Generally the instant rebates on a cell phone are only available to those opening a new account.  If you already have a cell  phone account with them, then generally you will not be eligible for the rebate.  Sometimes they will give preexisting customers a small break on the new phone, but not always.  Good luck.

This is easy. Just go to the place and ask the person if you just have to pay 70$ since it says instant rebate. That's what i understand too.

usually to get the instant rebate (which they should really just say "On sale for $XX!") you will have to renew your contract, and most of the time you have to be "eligible."  

I would call alltel and ask them if you are able to renew your contract at this time, then you should be able to get that new phone!
