Instead of a birthday cake?

Instead of having a birthday cake are cupcakes ok? txs :) (party for a 13 year old)

Yes of course ! without a doubt cupcakes can be made as pretty or as plain as you like, you could have a decorate your own it you wanted

you can also have different flavors to please everyones taste! and pleasing everyone especially Teens does not happen often.

Yes... Cupcakes are good.

You can even group the cupcakes together and frost the whole lot to make it look like a cake.  That worked when my daughter was 6.  

Will the 13 year old buy into the cupcake idea?  I'm sure she will.

Oh Yea, go against the "norm". It is the birthday boy/girl's preference. For example, my husband can't stand cake so we have an ice cream cake for his bday. Then of course for our wedding instead of cake, we had cheesecakes. You could even have your favorite pie as your birthday "cake". The choices are unlimited!

They are a great idea. You could put their initials on each individual cake. Plus, it saves on cutting the cake up for them each to take a piece home.
