I'd like to know why I should vote for him and not why I shouldn't vote for Obama.

Tell me about his plans for America.

  1. Great? He's not as bad as Bush.

Greater? Obama is even less like Bush.

  2. his plans for america

    keep us at war

    get us farther into dept

try and figure out how many houses he has

try and figure out how to turn on that box everyone calls a computer

try to live through the next 8 years

try bring back this country to the good old Reagan days (sarcasm)

he is not the man to bring this country into the next few years. he is a man to bring us back to what we have done. but maybe you want history to repeat itself.

  3. McCain is not great.  But Obama is a joke.  Possessing the ability to bring Oprah's f****s to tears should not constitute making someone leader of the free world.

  4. McCain WILL =

continue to lower taxes, which HELP the economy AND increases money coming INTO the government.

NOT push the FAILED socialized medicine programs on us that are FAILING in Canada, UK, and Cuba.

WILL increase border and immigration control

    WILL maintain a strong military

And by the way..... the "energy plan" that Obama PROMOTED last night WAS a BILL submitted by John McCain VERBATIM!!!!!      Barack Obama LITERALLY "stole" another Republican idea!

  5. I am not for mccain because of the same reason you stated no one wants to explain why he should be voted for they only trash Obama

if all they can do is trash the other guy then it means they are trying to cover up the fact that their guy is not worth your vote....

  6. If support for McCain is so luke warm as is evidenced by the answers here, how the heck did the man get the nomination?  I can hardly wait to get a look at the convention next week, there will be empty seats in that small venue, I bet.  It's kind of sad that his party can't muster up some support, but honestly, his speeches are a trifle dry and boring.

  7. McCain is not greatest either, both candidates aren't really in touch with anything about US rights and public issues. They are only in the game for what's in it for them.

I'm sick of hearing empty promises from empty suits.

I don't think either of them should become president. That is why I'm voting independent .

  8. Sly Kitty asks a good question, how did McCain get the nomination?  A lot of conservatives are asking the same question.  It was, "Romney or Huckabee?  Romney or Huckabee?" and then all of a sudden, McCain had the nomination.

But, that aside, a lot of us are just choosing what we perceive to be the lesser of two evils.  It is very sad, but true.

I have a hard time believing that Obama and McCain are truly the "best and brightest" that the two parties have to offer.  What does this say about the state of American politics?  Where are the John Adams and Abraham Lincolns and George Washingtons of today?

  9. Tumble weed... "swushhhh"

  10. McCain is going to cut taxes across the board, rich and poor.  You like money right?

  11. He is a moderate politically who has a history of bipartisan work with other congresspeople, he is experienced and sensible...idealistic without being out of touch with reality, cares about the 'little guy', is his own man and is tenacious...I also like his viewpoints on taxes, the environment, ending the war and on and on...go to his website and read his stances for yourself...

  12. Sure I could tell you but it goes against all of my beliefs

  13. There is nothing great about McCain. He is short tempered & a warmonger.

    God Speed

  14. He's not great. Its about people being afraid of something new...of something different. Much respect to Mccain for being a strong soldier or what not but he's no choice in this election. Nobody's gonna vote for him. Even the haters posting on this very site...when the election comes and they get behind that little grey curtain those repubs are gonna jump ship. Its all a game.

  15. McCain is Americas greatest war hero his leadership skills as such are better than OBAMAS cause of the warmongering experience and McCain's <bomb bomb bomb Iran> crazy remarks  oh c**p Im sorry republicans I cant even put together a few great comments for your lunitic party leader ,perhaps if he choses CONDI RICE or ROMNEY there might be a spark of greatness but not enough to overshadow his insanity & quest for war Foxy one perhaps after the RNC convention we will see a special quality from McCain & our republican friends. so far I think republican minds just dont want OBAMA in the office of president so they vote for McCain no matter what ,thats what RUSHBO the great suggested they do as they feel McCain is a better patriot than OBAMA ,I expect personal attacks will swing many minds with lies...In the end it will be OBAMA 2008 FOR PEACE&BETTER TOMARROW ,<its a beautiful day> yours DINO

  16. this is part of the issue... no conservitive truely loves McCain. but its hard not to bash Obama since most of us are not so much voting for McCain, but Against Obama, and what he stands for, and what he wants to do.

    some McCain pluses though,

Hes experienced, in economic matters, foreign policy

he doesnt want to raise taxes,

he doesnt want to lose the war in iraq, which in essence makes it safer for our troops that are there, which seeting a timetable makes it very dangerious for them by giving the insurgents hope of an end date that they should just sit back and wait for,

    Hate his immigration policy,

    like his stance on abortion,

    like his stance on family

    he believes in personal accountability

Hate how he panders to the enviro weenies,

like that he can change his mind on issues given new information or after seeing a need, not just to win votes.
