Hi me and my friend r havin a bet and we wanted 2 know which is bettr Iphone 3g Or instinct cuz i hav da iphone and he luvz da instinct cuz he haz sprint but another question Instinct Or sidekick LX?

Instinct = I don't know, I don't know this phone

Sidekick/Hiptop = Good for SMS, IM, Web Browsing and Email. Especially with the unlimited sms+data plans you can get.

Heres my knowledge of the iPhone, Which I think makes it better, Or in some cases worse.

You do NOT have to buy an unlimited plan. You do how ever have to buy whats called a Data Plan. A data plan comes with the bonus of web browsing (internet). Most data plans are just like most other basic plans with the bonus of the internet, $39 per iPhone line means its $39 per month for each person on the line. Meaning 2 iPhone users on that plan would be $78.

AIM is actually part of the web browser. It is free with the data plans.

You can actually text people using AIM for free, So if you figure out how do to that when you renew your contract you can simply skip on paying for texting.

Also, If you plan on getting an iPhone you can only buy the new iPhone 3G at AT&T stores and apple.com. You can still buy the older ones on ebay and etc.Also, ALOT of people think that iPhone 3G beats sprints web browsing speed, IT DOESN'T! Spring owns the fastest web browsing network you will ever find on a mobile device, Using the new ebdu rev A network. AT&T has yet to come near that speed but iPhone 3G is etremly fast, Even though the speed varies in locations.

The iPhone is made mostly of metal and glass, Better made than the instinct (Instinct is plastic, If you wonder why its 70 dollars cheaper then the iPhone that is a factor).

The only things instinct can do that iphone cannot:

Bulk up your pocket being very long and not very wide at all, making web browsing unpleasent.

Have to find pictures and videos uploaded EVERY time you have to open them.

Shoot 10 minute videos.

Turn by turn GPS (iPhone has GPS but not as detailed)

Speech to action.

Most all I can think of.

iPhone wins in my opinion, You can easily update software and synchs to your iTunes (I have 3 iPods so gotta love all my stuff will be set the second I plug it in :)

Im getting iPhone 3G after alot of research on both.

iPhone looks, feels, and is just overall better.
