I'm 38. my wife is 33. non smokers. which insurance make more sense. i have whole life with long term care. my wife is looking into term insurance. which is better?

  1. Term is almost always better. Whole is very expensive and only good if you're old and have no money, or planning on kicking the bucket real soon.

    Keep in mind many brokers will sell you whatever makes them most money. Go to term4sale.com to find someone who'll be less likely to take advantage you.

    Most people could use a mix of term and permanent insurance, maybe not whole life maybe UL.

    A Broker represents multiple carriers and can help you sort through all the different insurance companies and plan options in your state.

    You can call your auto and home agent they specialize in property and causality insurance and usually have a good knowledge of life insurance.

    But you may have better luck with a broker that specializes in life insurance they will have a wider selection of companies to offer.
