I got a job offer from MetLife in San Diego, and now I need to get licenced. The classroom courses for the Series 7 and 66 are more expensive than the online. Should I stay away from taking online courses at all?. Are classroom courses the best way to go in order to pass the exams?. If some one out there has taken online courses and passed the exams, please share your experience. Thanks in advance.

  1. I have my series 6, 65, and 63.  I also have my Life, Accident, and health license.  What I did to pass was firstly set the exam date for my license like 3 weeks ahead, then I would study a chapter then go to the cd and take the practice quizzes until i could get a high 80 % or 90%.  Then move on to the next topic.  Then after I did the whole book take the final exam with all the material until i could get a 85%.  If you do that and you are decent at studying I do not think you would need any class. But if you are someone who does needs someone to explain stuff to you in person then I would reccomend the class.

  2. On-line courses are the cheaper but tougher way to go. You don't get as much interaction...and some things get missed.

If you are very disciplined...on-line is OK. If it's not too much more...I'd rather have the classroom.

    Good luck!
