  1. This will also depend on your location as insurance varies by location. The best thing to do would be to get an online insurance quote. This will compare all companies in your area and find the company that offers you the lowest prices.  You can get a free online quote at http://www.auto-insurance-knowledge.com/...

  2. your in an uphill struggle i had friend in your exact predicament with the speeding ticket too and he was quoted £4200 a year for a 2005 MR2 i know the car is newer than the mustang but the mustang has 3 times the power the only real chance is if you insure it through you parents even then you'll be talking big bucks

  3. A lot depends on where you live, but I can chisel it in stone for you it's going to be extremely expensive for three reasons:  (1) You're under 25, which puts you in the highest risk group, (2) You're driving a sports car with a performance engine, and (3) You already have a speeding ticket on your record.

If you live in or near a major city, don't be surprised if they quote you between $1,500.00 and $2,000.00 for six months just for personal liability and property damage.  If you live in a more rural area that amount could drop by about $300.00 to $500.00 every six months.

  4. you're in the $500/month neighborhood

  5. Depends on the underwriting criteria of the insurer/broker you go to, it is possible however that some insurers may not even insure you due to the engine and your age unfortunately.

Also, the fact you have had a speeding ticket, assuming that the insurer has been notified will likely make the premium quite high, if you are in the UK try going to site like moneysupermarket.com or a site that is able to check a number of insurers at the same time, this way it would give you an indication or a ball park figure of how much the premium is likely to be, however be aware that such sites have the bare bones so to speak of the insurer's criteria and you may have to be requoted by the insurer/broker you choose which may cause the premium to be higher than it was on the comparison site or them being unable to insure you, hope this helps :D

  6. Well you are still considered a young driver in the eyes of the insurance company so your rates are going to be pretty high.  Are you on your parent's policy? Are you a good student? Both of those will help lower your rates.

Since you will be driving a sports car you are more likely to speed and get in to an accident so the insurance company is going to raise your rates alot.  The only way to get a ball park idea of how much the insurance is going to cost is to compare a couple quotes online.  It only takes about 3 minutes to do one quote and its the easiest way to find affordable insurance rates.

    Good Luck!
