Insurance HELP NEEDED ASAP?

Question

I got a metal bb in my hand yestoday, and went to the er..paid the bills. They couldnt get it out. Today i went to a surgeons office,and he said I need surgery at a hospital. The surgery is ganna be alot(somewhere in the 4000's im guessing)

I need insursnce that will cover me...by next week. Im 14 if that helps, and im trying to help my parents because they are looking for insurance.

You can't do it on your own.  Talk to your parents.

I hate to say it - but if you get an insurance policy between now and then- the injury will be considered a pre-existing condition and most likely will not be covered.

If your parents do not have insurance on you -- then they will have to contact the hospital and set up a payment plan to pay for the treatment.

I got shot in the thigh with a bb once........and after a while, it festered up like a pimple - and popped right out!

This is a pre-existing condition and no insurance company will cover it so I wouldn't wast any more time trying.

this is not going to be the news you want to hear, but here ya go.  health insurance companies will not make coverage retroactive - this means that if a company gets you a policy today, they will not cover any claims which occured yesterday.  this is going to be a tough break...and now that you have medical bills being filed it's going to make applying for health insurance harder.  good luck!
