  1. Open your phone book, and start cold calling.   Or go start knocking on doors and passing out your business card, in target neighborhoods.

  2. I would like to suggest to try to get as much information as you could before making up your mind, here is a very resourceful one.http://lifeinsurance.online-helpers.info...

  3. find a new job.  sounds like  you do not enjoy or have the skill set to be in sales.  It is time to find your true lifes work.

    good luck

  4. What state are you in?

  5. How long have you been in the life insurance business? Obviously, not very long.

Has anyone taught you to prospect, make appointments, uncover needs, get prospect to want to cover those needs, show a solution, and close the sale? You don't sell life insurance policies; you solve problems.

The hardest job of a life insurance agent is to prospect. You have to get in the habit of prospecting. The best prospects are referred leads. You have to ask for them, or you won't get them.

Tom Wolfe, who authored the Financial Need Analysis program, had brought his son into the life insurance business.

After his son was licensed, Mr. Wolfe showed him how to prospect by making phone calls. He told his son that to be successful, you have to make contacts in large numbers. he told him to start out by making 100 phone calls.

After the son made about ten calls, he was ready to give up, because he wasn't making any progress. Mr. Wolfe ask him what the problem was, and he told him that he wasn't getting anywhere. He asked his son how many calls he had made, and the answer was ten. Mr. Wolfe told him, "Son, make the other 90, and you'll probably find someone who wants to talk to you.

That's true. You have to continuously prospect, and you have to know how to ask for the appointment, uncover problems, create a desire within the prospect to sove the problem, show solution, and close the sale.

In order to be a successful agent, one has to be persistent in all areas of the job. You have to keep that lead / prospect book full.

    Good luck, and God Bless.
