Question:

Insurance company keeps mailing! What should I do?

An insurance company keeps sending mail to my grandmother for some deal on insurance. This wouldn't be a problem except for the fact that she died 15 years ago. I'm tempted to call the place and tell them to take her off the mailing list, especially due to the fact that she never lived with us. Should I do this or ignore it and let them keep sending mail?

  1. write on the envelope "return to sender, addressee deceased"  You won't have to pay the postage and hopefully someone will have enough brains to stop the mailings when their mail is returned.  It might take a time or 2 to get it stopped.

  2. Too funny.   I'd write "deceased" on the envelope, and send it back.

  3. I bet this is spam. In most of the e-mails they send, try and look closely at the disclaimer which is located at the bottom. It should specify on whether or not you wish to recieve e-mails from that insurance company or not. Click on the link and their instructions will lead you through the procedure.

    Good Luck~

Edit: Likewise, there should be a small disclaimer on the conventional mail too. But instead, it should show an address if you wish to not recieve further messages from them.
