Insurance for benefit race?

my best friend wants to host a fun race to raise money for out animal shelter. it's banged up and needs more space....wat kind of insurance does someone need to host a fun tri-cycle race....

There is Liability insurance for spectators of events, and it is generally referred to as Special Event Insurance.  This covers an event for a single day, or a specific amount of time and the premium is based on number of expected visitors as well as length of time.  I would recommend speaking with an independent insurance agent in your area, they should be able to give you a quote very easily.

None is required, except by contract.  So the counter question is, where is it, do you own the land, and do you care if someone gets hurt and sues you for everything you have?
