Insurance on volkswagen gti..?

Question

learning to drive at the minute so was thinking of buying a car for when I pass. Would really like a volkswagen gti cuz I really like the look of them! As I'm 17, do u think the insurance would be majorly high as they would think I was a boyracer?

please help as I know nothing about cars! Maybe suggest other cars that would be low on insurance for a person my age that is similar in style to the car I want?
