Insurance question for apartments?

What company is the best for insurance for apartments. Please don't e-mail me back and say contact your agent. My question is what company is know for having good rates for apartments.

You don't insure the apartment, your landlord insures the dwelling (apartment) and you insure the contents (all your stuff) Typically 10-15thousand dollars of contents coverage is about 12-20 dollars a month, it's a great investment in my opinion.

Not all companies write in all states.  So, what may be the best company with the best rates in my state, probably will not be the same in your state.  Even within the same company, different states have different guidelines & different offices.  One company may not mind older apartments & will write them, another may only want brand new ones, while another may not write habitational properties at all.  Rates vary from state to state too, Company A in my state may be the cheapest & the same company in your state may be the most expensive.

The ONLY way to do this is to call a few independent agents in  your area (they have access to several companies each) and have them give you real quotes, then you compare rates vs coverages because not every company offers the same coverages either.

rates are dependant of factors that do not spread across the country, so contanct local insurance companies (plural) and get real bids.
