  1. it could be , if there is a record in your docs paperwork the insurance people will be able to access it in the event of a claim. you know how they will try to weasel out of paying if you claim

  2. Yes...it's a condition prior to getting the coverage.  A condition that manifests AFTER you get coverage is not a pre-existing condition.

You'll have to apply to the insurance company to find out whether it'll be covered if that's your question.  Because even if an insurance company states that they cover pre-existing conditions after X number of months they won't cover it if they've exclueded it from the start.

For any pre existing condition the insurance company can accept you, decline you, accept you and not cover the condition permanently or for a period of time.

Having a diagnosis code will not help you at all prior to applying for coverage because the underwriters not only will take that into account, but also your overall general health, height, weight, etc....

    Hope that helps...

  3. If you are buying insurance to cover doctor visits.  I would strongly suggest you save the premiums and pay for your own doctor visits.  You will most likely be disappointed with what the insurance company will pay on that doctor's office visit.  If there is testing you are most likely going to be responsible for a deductible before the insurance will pay the first dollar of testing charges.  If you policy is through you employer forget everything I just told you because group coverage usually pay everything after the copay. You can go to a website like http://www.lvhealthins.com and read about individual and group policies.

  4. I think instead of worrying about the rules and regulations of the traditional health insurance you now have, I would forget that world all together, and go to www.NaturesHealthCareGroup.com Did you know that there are millions of people fed up with traditional health insurance? yes, and you can either suffer through life paying high premiums for insurance that doesn`t cover all your drugs and surgeries anyway, not to mention, endure all the horrible side effects, OR join Natural Health Insurance. Stop waiting, do it now and finally get you and your child healthy!

  5. As your urologist for the Diagnosis code or ICD-9 code that they use to bill your insurance company. Then call your insurance company and give them the code. With the code, they can tell you if that condition would be considered pre-existing.

  6. Insurance companies consider a pre-existing condition as a condition which you've seeked medical treatment, consultation, or advice or one that would cause a "prudent person" to seek medical treatment, consultation, or advice. The time period is 6 to 12 months prior, depending on your state, or longer for some conditions.
