Insurance questions...who covers for ur accident?

if you get in a accident dose your insurance pay for your damages for you or dose the other persons insurance pay for it??

First, not all insurance companies and their personnel are "evil".  Prior poster is obviously having a difficult time with her claim, and has been sticking up this forum with her ranting and raving and borderline libel.  She must read too many Grisham novels.

Anyway, if you have collision coverage, you can file a claim against your own policy.  Your insurance company will pay you and then subrogate against the other carrier to recover what the paid out.  

If you want to file a third party claim, just call the other party's insurance company and report the loss.

Theoretically the person who is found at fault for the accident's insurance would pay for the accident.

In my case NO ONE PAYS & I sit & wait on the evil insurance company to get up & do something so I can have a car again - but hey whos' complaining?  I
