my company developed a new software for insurance companies and it integrates as a front end of the core system.

are there any regulations on the software and systems that this type of software must comply with?

in other words can an insurance company implement any software in their system? or must that software by in any regulatory compliance?

thank you for any help

  1. They can implement any software they want.  There's no regulatory compliance, that I've ever heard of.

  2. As long as it is not for use with the public, they would only need to pass their own internal compliance.  it the public interacts with it, it is considered marketing materials, and each states department of insurance must should review it before it's published.
