Insurance wont pay out

Question

i was cleaning and banged the telly.it fell but managed to catch it before hit the floor resulting in the telly not workin.got intouch with my insurance who took it away and said there is no damage externally or internally and the fault is due to wear and tear.it worked fine until i knocked it off.surely this is accidental damage.any advice would be greatlly appreciated

If your telly was more than a few years old, you're undoubtedly better off with a new one.  Suing the insurer is not likely to be worth while, they can pay more for lawyers than you can.  Small claims court is a possibility, as is your local newspaper's consumer help column.  In any case, just be thankful tvs are getting cheaper. Used ones are practically free.

sue in small claims court. bring in policy

Oops I dropped it, isn't covered under the standard policy.  So even if it IS that kind of accidental damage, it's not covered.
