when the insurance comp , sends you a letter saying that they have like 2 months to make a decision in regards to your claim, why do they wait till the last minute to send you there decision why do they take so damm long to take care of your case.even witha lawyer .

  1. The comp. companies are processing thousands of claims and they are trying to beat deadlines for response time. So, they put them in order of when the answers are due and try to work through them as fast as they can. But due to the large number of claims going through the system they get bogged down and it ends up being close to the deadline.

    Having an attorney never speeds things up. It actually slows things down because they have to funnel paperwork back and forth between the two offices (the w.c. carrier and your attorney). Meetings are scheduled to talk (on phone or in person) and this slows things down to a crawl.


  2. It' written in the state rules.  The adjusters need to make sure they are not dealing with frauds, pre-existing injuries, responsibility denials and on top of this recorded statements, IME's and other fun stuff.

    If you injury is 100% at work like a sprain to a finger or a laceration than they would be accepted right away, but if it's involving the back, shoulders or knee, claims generally take longer.
