  1. You need a Liability policy for sure and possibly coverage for any equipment or property the business owns.

Call a local insurance agent and they will be more than happy to help.

  2. You need to talk to a local, independent agent who can ask you a bunch of questions and help you decide which coverages you need.

  3. A company I worked for had a German businessman visit the company, they had confirmed the invitation to support the man's business visa.  The man had a heart attack and they had to call an ambulance and have him taken to the hospital Emergency Room.  He was stabilized and medevacked back to Germany.  It turns out that having a foreign visitor, they were liable for the ambulance, hospital, doctors & medevac charges -- nearly $300,000!

If you are bringing in any foreign workers, you are liable for any emergency medical care for them!  You need to get them medical insurance (since you are the one bringing them in), or ensure the contracting company provides it.  Anyone who is "benched," of course, you are liable.

You need liability insurance; your office/premises lease probably requires you to have fire and casualty insurances (if not required by the lease, you are liable and should have it anyway); insurance on any vehicles, equipment, office furniture & furnishings; business disruption insurance; "keyman" coverage -- if something happens to you, someone needs to handle the contracts and the contract workers to ensure contracts are completed properly and, if you are using foreign workers, repatriate the workers at completion or termination of the contracts.  If you draw any salary or wages, you still need to fulfill state requirements for disability insurance and unemployment insurance.
