  1. 2 litres of water is the recommended intake per day. Juice does count

  2. 8 glasses a day and i was told by a number of doctors that diluting juice does count because that was wht i was given in hospital

  3. 2 litres recommended per day

which is 4 bottles of evian regular bottles :)

  4. when this was originally worked out many years ago the amount was approx 2 litres including any liquid you got from food as well.

Spin doctors omit the "food" bit to increase sales of bottled water.

Any water you take in counts and all food has some water content

  5. Supposedly yes every bit of water counts. Tea, coffee, adding 1 cup of water to juice would be 1 cup (8 oz.) etc. but it's supposed to be 8 X 8oz. a day (which honestly isn't alot)

  6. The average rule is to drink half your body weight in ounces.  So, if you weight 140, you're supposed to be slurping down 70 oz/water/day.

If you drink diruetics, such as coffee, tea (other than herbal), soft drinks, you must replace that water, too, so in addition to the 70 oz, for example, 12 oz more for your coffee fix.

It might seem like a lot at first, but keep it up!  As long as your pee is light yellow-clear, you're doing well!

    Congrats onkeeping your body healthy!

  7. The old saying of 8 glasses of water is outdated and inaccurate. We need once ouce for every 2 pounds of body weight plus 8 ounces for every 20 minutes of exercise. With hot/dry days and climates even more is use.

We can get water from foods and other drinks. Except caffeinated or alcoholic drinks. Both of these dehydrate us so they cannot count towards water intake. Everybody here that says you can count tea and coffee and any other caffeinated drink for water intake should be ignored cause they are wrong.

  8. Water is water, in all forms.  Juice is fine. Coffee is fine.  Tea is fine.  You are hyrated by any means.  You want to stay away from unnatural sugars like High Fructose Corn Syrup.  Juices in general are high in sugar and high in calories.  But it isn't bad for you as a rule, but be mindful of the calories.  Watering down juice is a good option.  I love water, but sometimes I just need flavor!

    Have a great day!

  9. 8 cups a day and yes any liquid counts.

  10. 1.5-2litrs

    no it doesnt count
