I have an integrated Radeon x1250 and I want to upgrade to a 8800gt. This is my first time but I'm not sure how to do this exactly. Like i need it to be really specific what i should do. Like do i install geforce 8800gt first? put it in first? where to put it...etc... I'm a noob =P

I know u cant remove an integrated graphics card but u can add another one right and use that instead of the x1250... right?..

  1. you have a spare pci-express slot in your current computer. after unplugging your pc, take off the side cover and mount the card in the slot (look for pics on google if you're confused). it may have a power plug (6-pin or 8-pin), which you will need to plug into the corresponding cord from the psu (power supply unit). after that, plug your monitor cable into your new cards plug, plug in your computers power cable again, and boot it up. if the monitor displays properly, either a. use the included cd to install the drivers and/or software or b. go on the manufacturers (nvidia or AT) website and download them and install them from there. hope that helps!
