What are the differences between the two wireless cards? What wireless has better strength?

Should I pay more money and get a pro wireless?

No, there is no difference! all are follow the standard of IEEE. Please do not wasted your money to buy the extra thing that your thinkpad have. usually the build-in wireless antenna is embedded inside your LCD screen. Logically, the reception of radio frequency are not much difference.

There is basically no difference at all, both will give you a maximum speed of 11Mbps.

I should rather suggest you to go for a G54 wireless card which gives you a far better speed of 54 Mbps.
