Intelligence of Oscars?

Question

I had many topical fresh water fish as pets and It seems to me that the smartest topical fresh water fish are Oscars. How smart are they anyway?

Yes oscars are very intelligent fast learners they are right up there with discus.

Pretty smart, and awesome too.  I had an oscar named Oscar (how original), and he was tons of fun...i know fish are not normally that fun, but anything you put in his cage, he attacked!  Once I got my finger a lil too close to the water while feeding him gold fish...and he bit on to my finger and came up out of the water attached to my finger...ouch.  I fed him live feeder fish weekly...and just for fun i gave him insects, crickets, once even a bumble bee-- he ate it, whole.  

Be careful giving him "friends" in the same cage that you dont want ate... i think you are supposed to put the oscar into the other's cage, if you put others into the oscar's cage, he will ATTACK :)

my oscar dose tricks and they know when they are going to get feed, they are very smart and cool
