How can i intensify biking and make it burn alot of calories?

  1. Actual body fat is not used much in physical activity until you are doing it longer than 55 minutes.  Ride your bike at 16 mph for one hour per day five days a week and lose about almost a pound per week.  If you go faster and do the speed work you will use more fat, but only after an hour.  You must combine that program with eating less bread products and sweets and you know what you have to do.  Get focused, act like you mean it, and love your new life style.


  2. Do speed intervals.  This increases HGH and is a great way of burning fat.  It can also be used for running too.  Sprint for 1 minute, then rest for 2-3 minutes depending on how fast you recover.  You want ateast enough time to slow your heart to mid-range.  Do this 3-5 times depending on your athleticism. Have fun.

  3. You want to use a high cadence so you are using your slow twitch muscles. That way you can go longer and not get as tired.  You want to pedal around 85 to 100 RPM's.

    You do not want to sprint and then rest, you want a constant speed where you are starting to breath faster where you can still talk but not sing.  Don't worry about how fast or far you go at first, you will improve over time.  If you start to slow down shift to a lower gear.  You do not want to mash the pedals, you will get tired too quickly.
