Question:

Intensive Spanish Class in Los Angeles California?

I just found out from my boss that I will have no work for the next 3-4 weeks which sucks because I get paid hourly! Now I have all this free time, I've been meaning to learn Spanish, and what better time to do it than now? I am wondering if there are any language institutes in the LA / Orange County area that offer intensive Spanish courses that last only a few weeks, say up to 4 weeks, definitely no more than 6. If there are any courses that target romance language speakers or otherwise move at a very fast pace, even better as I speak fluent French and would probably pick up on Spanish pretty quickly. Another thing is I really want a classroom setting - no internet courses - as I am a procrastinator and am more motivated if forced to go to class. Thanks for any suggestions!

  1. Soho,

Have you ever thought about a hybrid course?  A course that uses the internet, plus private one on one live instruction?  It would cut down on the cost of travel.  You could learn very quickly, since you could study all day long, if you wanted and move very quickly.  And since the classes are private, you don´t have to wait around for a student to understand something, since you are already know French, and would probably get it easier?

You might want to try it.

There is a number of these courses out there.  One of them is www.lejoslearning.com  They are in beta right now, but have a pretty strong team built.  Check it out.
