Inter Could Join Race To Sign Edin Dzeko If Mario Balotelli Joins City
Manchester City, have been hot on the tail of Italian wonder player, Mario Balotelli for a while now. There were numerous claims from the Inter Milan officials saying that this deal was ridiculous and that they were not willing to sell such an important member of the Inter Milan squad under any circumstance. That has all changed now since Inter are currently preparing to find a replacement for Balotelli if he decides to leave.
Balotelli’s agent, Mino Raiola went to the press and said that the idea of a transfer was possible and that the doors were still open for the deal to go through at any moment. This was clearly the agents referral to the strong surge of interest shown from the English Premiership side, Manchester City. Inter Milan are demanding around thirty five million Euro’s for the player and Manchester City just so happen to have the money to make this deal possible.
Inter Milan have already started to look for a replacement for the potentially out going player. The replacement that they have in mind is the highly rated Bosnian hit man, Edin Dzeko. According to Italian transfer expert Pierpaolo Marino, "Many Italian teams are on Dzeko. Milan were the first to lay eyes on him, but their new line on economic policies have led them looking elsewhere" "Juventus have also been following him from a long time and after signing good players they are ready for a big name transfer. But Wolfsburg want €40m for him". "However, keep an eye on Inter. They will sell Maicon and Balotelli and they could make a surprise move for the Bosnian, hijacking the deal from their two rivals”
If the expert is anything to go by then Balotelli, is certainly on his way out of the San Siro and on his way to the Eastlands. This would be good news for City since this would only help strengthen their attack even further.
Edin Dzeko has also been another long term interest for City, but they claimed that the price that Wolfsberg were asking for the player was just too high, even by their standards. However if City manage to pay the estimated amount of money that Inter expect for Balotelli, then Inter will be able to match Wolfsberg’s demands for Edin Dzeko.
Another interesting thing to note here is the confidence with which Marino has stated that Maicon will also be on his way out of the San Siro, the only possible destination that comes to mind for the player is going to be Real Madrid. Jose Mourinho has expressed his interest to signing the player for a while now but Inter kept playing all those rumors and talks down. But as it seems, that may just have been Inter’s way of keeping the media and press away from the progress of the deal, since the Inter fans would be strongly disappointed if the Brazilian international leaves the San Siro and heads to Spain.
