Inter Milan Chief Massimo Moratti still likes Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Serie A Update
Inter Milan President, Massimo Moratti, has revealed that he would love to re-acquire the talismanic striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029, should such an opportunity arise in the future. The prolific hitman left the Nerazzurri in 2009 and moved to the Spanish outfit
Barcelona FC, but within a year he was back in Italy; loaned to Inter’s bitter rivals AC Milan.
The Inter chief, recently talking to the media, said that he would love to take him back any day, provided he gets the opportunity. Moratti said:
“I would take him back today, that’s for certain, despite everything, he is the one player who helps you win the championship.”
The striker has had a great profile throughout his career and amazingly, he has won a League title with every outfit he has stayed within the last 8 years. The names include giants like Ajax, Juventus FC, Inter Milan, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 FC, and now his first season
with AC Milan and the Rossoneri have won the title after a drought of 7 years in the Italian top flight.
The Inter President expressed his liking for the former Nerazzurri forward and also gave a response to his club’s rivals.
“Milan’s Silvio Berlusconi says he would do anything to bring back Kaka? If he was younger then I would take back Ronaldo”, said Moratti.
Inter have had an unexpected term in the Italian top flight, as well as at the UEFA Champions League front and have not been able to defend their titles, but the last year’s Treble winners are in the final of the Coppa Italia and are keen on taking away
the last trophy that belongs to them. The team is keen to hold onto the runner-ups spot in the Serie A as well, and that could make up for some of the damage done.
Inter are also keen to take full advantage of the upcoming summer transfer window and introduce new players to the outfit in order to make a strong statement in the Italian top flight next season and make a better finish in the UCL as well.
“I think we need players with a long future ahead of them, therefore we need some youngsters,” Moratti concluded.
