Inter Milan striker, Diego Forlan, is on his way to recovery from an injury that he picked up during international duty in October. The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paraguay-c2979 in a World Cup qualifier.
Talking about the injury, the striker had said:
"I felt strong pain in my leg and I had to stop playing. Now we have to see what the doctors say. I do not know what the problem is yet, but I just couldn't continue playing. We have to wait. Once I go back to Milan I will have further tests."
Medical reports had suggested that the 32-year-old would be sidelined for a month. However, Forlan recently told La Gazzetta dello Sport that his recovery is going better than expected.
"I am recovering and doing lots of physiotherapy so that I can soon return to the pitch as this is my main objective now. I have not been here very long, but I have adapted well. I am happy in Milan and it was nice to swap it for Madrid.” Forlan was quoted
as saying.
However, the Italian giants yesterday announced that Forlan is back on the training field with the Nerazzurri and he will be featuring in the next game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Udinese-Calcio-c40789 at home. Forlan featured in a training game this week and will continue with his
individual training sessions soon as well.
The 32-year-old is a new arrival at San Siro. The Nerazzurri lured the striker from Atletico Madrid during the recent summer transfer window. However, Forlan has failed to impress this season as he has only scored a solitary goal in 5 appearances for the
Serpent.
