Inter Milan: Diego Milito believes Inter will bounce back after initial defeat – Serie A Update
Inter Milan striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Diego-Milito-c11166 has asked for patience from the club’s fan after a bad start to the 2011/12 campaign, where they lost 4-3 loss at the hands of Palermo. The Rosanero, playing at their home ground, were motivated enough to defeat the Nerazzurri
despite Milito scoring a brace.
The Argentine international suggests that the team is still getting used to the news system under head coach Gian Piero Gasperini, who has been appointed only recently. Milito believes it will take some time for things to fall back in place for the squad
and until then it will be very early to jump to conclusions.
"It's not right to think of the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 of two years ago. Today we are a different team, with a new Coach who has other tactics in mind compared to those of the past and we have to be able to adapt to it. On a personal level it is always gratifying for a striker
to score, but I can't hide my disappointment at the result. Naturally we all want to win, but now it's time to look to the future and try to improve," said the Argentinean to the RAI.
The new tactician at San Siro uses the unconventional 3-4-3 tactics on the field and the Inter squad are not familiar with this setup. It was reckoned that the Nerazzurri star, Wesley Sneijder, would exit the club as Gasperini’s squad will not require a
playmaker. However, Sneijder played in a wide role in the game against Palermo.
“Of course it's going to take time to adapt to the new formation, for us players too. For example today an attacking midfielder like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wesley-Sneijder-c36799 played further wide than he usually does. I think that he, in particular, has changed position,” added Milito.
The Nerazzurri won a treble in the 2009/10 season but could not maintain the same form during the 2010/11 term, failing to defend their European title and the Serie A. Moreover, Inter fell behind bitter city rivals AC Milan and finished runners-up in the
league. The men in the black and blue jerseys are keen on regaining the lost glory this term.
