Inter Milan midfielder, Esteban Cambiasso, has sent out an alarm for his teammates not to underrate the Turkish outfit Trabzonspor ahead of their upcoming group stage match. Inter face the Turkish titans in their Champions League Group B game tonight.
The Nerazzurri have a clear advantage over the Turkish side as they play at their home turf, San Siro. However, the Nerazzurri have made a poor start to the latest season, losing to AC Milan in the Supercoppa Italiana and slumping to a 4-3 hammering at the
hands of US Palermo in the opening game of the Serie A season.
However, the men in the black and blue jerseys are confident that they will regain their form and are looking forward to make a quick comeback. Although the optimism of the squad is intact, Cambiasso believes that Trabzonspor are going to be a tough competitor
in the upcoming fixture and the Nerazzurri need to be alert.
The midfielder was recently talking to the Inter Milan official website where he was quoted saying:
"We can expect a tough game, that's for sure. I don't know of any team in the Champions League that is easy to play against. And regardless of the previous encounter between Inter and Trabzonspor many years ago, they will want to prove they are good enough
to compete in the Champions League. We'll have to be very careful, and in particular watch out for their counters when we're on the attack."
It is pretty obvious that players at San Siro are having trouble adapting to the strategy of their new head coach. The newly appointed technician, Gian Piero Gasperini, uses an unconventional 3-4-3 formation and most of the players are unaware of this system.
However, after being bombarded with criticism, it is reckoned that Gasperini would be looking forward to change his approach and play a different setup tonight.
The Nerazzurri are keen to take advantage of tonight’s game as they take on an inexperienced Turkish outfit but with the omens going against them, the match is likely to be a thriller.
