The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 striker’s father has revealed that the two clubs missed out on signing the promising talent, because they thought that he was not tall enough.
Carmine Insigne has disclosed that Inter Milan and Torino were previously presented with the opportunity to sign his son Lorenzo Insigne, but the two clubs chose to miss out on the chance because they thought that the striker was too short-heighted.
The young attacker spent the last two season on loan to Foggia and Pescara in Serie B, and is expected to feature as the replacement for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ezequiel-Lavezzi-c13073 in the Partenopei’s squad in the upcoming season.
Carmine Insigne stated that Inter Milan and Torino passed on his son, because they thought that his skill as a footballer would be limited due to his height.
Lorenzo’s father went on to hail his son’s persistent hard work to improve himself as a footballer, and insisted that the striker takes his brilliant character from him.
The striker’s forebearer went on to reveal that Napoli has been the club of his son’s dream since childhood, and insisted that securing a place in the Partenopei’s playing eleven is a great achievement for him.
While talking to the press, the Carmine said:
“He wasn’t considered by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 and Torino because they thought he was too small. But he never gave up, his character reminds me of myself, and his dream was to always play for Napoli.”

Carmine said that he has asked his son to score a goal in Napoli’s upcoming Supercoppa Italiana match against Juventus.
“Now I have asked him for a present – a goal in the Italian Super Cup Final against Juventus [on August 11 in Beijing].”
The young striker was born and bred in Naples, and was drafted for his hometown club at the early age of 14.
Insigne is the current member of Italian under-21 team, and played an integral part in Pescara’s triumphant season in Serie B that saw them promoted to Italy’s top flight.
