The Nerazzurri midfielder believes that the Milan outfit have only themselves to blame for having to start their season earlier than all other teams in Serie A.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Esteban-Cambiasso-c12912 has warned Inter Milan from falling in the same pit as in their last season, and believes that they themselves hold the blameworthiness for starting their campaign in the beginning of August.
The Nerazzurri finished their dismal run in the last campaign on the sixth spot in Serie A points table, and could only grab the Europa League qualification spot.
The Milan outfit will play Croatian outfit Hajduk Split on August 2nd in the first-leg of preliminaries, in order to qualify for the European tournament.
Cambiasso was of the view that the team shares the responsibility for being in a dismal position, and insisted that it is upon them to rectify the wrong that has been done in their last season.
The Nerazzurri playmaker reminded that the Milan outfit started their last season by playing the Supercoppa Italiana, and are having to play a Croatian side for qualifiers this time around.
The Beneamata midfielder was adamant that Inter Milan must pull up their socks as early as possible, as they cannot afford to repeat the mistakes of their last season.
While talking to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the 31-year-old said:
“We can only blame ourselves for being in this situation. This match is the consequence of what happened last season. In previous years we played in August for the European Super Cup, this time for the Europa League qualifiers. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 can afford a year like
this, but only one year.”
Cambiasso went on to reflect upon the difficulties that Inter Milan expect to face on their trip to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Croatia-c2879.
The Nerazzurri midfielder insisted that the heat and the pitch condition at Hajduk Split will be the biggest challenge for his club, and warned his team to expect a spirited performance from their foreign competitors.
“The biggest dangers in this preliminary round are the heat and what seems to be a pretty bad pitch in Split. Hajduk will also have remarkable enthusiasm, as it’s a historic match for them.” He added.
