Inter Milan is ready to fire Rafael Benitez says Italian media
According to reports in the Italian media on Wednesday, the 22nd of December, Inter Milan is all set to fire Rafael Benitez but would slash his compensation package first. The Spaniard joined Inter Milan six months
ago and has been hurting ever since. Following the woeful run in the Italian Serie A, Massimo Moratti, president of Inter Milan, was under continuous pressure to fire Rafa, but instead backed him up. The feud between Rafa and the club management started last
week when Rafa gave outrageous statements against club executives and some players after winning the Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi. Rafa was unhappy with the players for taking their own decisions and also accused club management, recklessly, for not supporting
him in the transfer market. Moratti is said to be flared-up upon the ruthless statements from Rafa and wanted some justification. The dismissal of Rafa could cost around eight to ten million euro but Moratti is willing and wants a justification from the Spaniard.
