Inter Milan outbid Arsenal FC in the race to sign Ricardo Alvarez – Serie A Transfer Update
Inter Milan have joined Arsenal FC in the race to acquire Ricardo Alvarez. The midfielder currently plays for Club Atletico Velez Sarsfield in the Argentinean top flight, Primera Division. The attacking midfielder is thought of as a possible replacement
for the top target, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexis-Sánchez-c4979, by the Italians.
According to Sky Sports, the Nerazzurri have placed a 12 million Euro bid for the Argentinean attacker, hence challenging the 10 million Euros bid placed by the English Premier League giants, Arsenal FC. The Gunners were thought of as the frontrunners in
the race to lure the winger, but Inter have come closer to the demand of Velez Sarsfield. El Fortin are demanding 15 million Euros for a transfer move and Inter are keen to put in the required money to make a successful transfer.
The Nerazzurri decided to go ahead for the catch after the fellow Serie A outfit, AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sporting-89-c40576 Director, Walter Sabatini, claimed that even though they had a
good run for the agreement with the player, the asking price was too steep for a player of his calibre.
"It's true we had a pre-contract agreement, but €15 million for Alvarez is a bit much. I believe a player should be paid what he is worth. Alvarez was born in 1988 and has room for improvement, but it's also fair to say he hasn't played very much in the
first team." Sabatini said while talking to the media.
However, Alvarez’s agent, Marcello Simonian, has a different point of view and he claims that the midfielder can perform at any front.
"I can only say that the footballer is prepared to play at a big European club,” boasted the agent.
The attacking midfielder is known for his versatility and despite scoring only 4 goals in his 36 appearances last season, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 are both keen on having his services. Moreover, he can play in any midfield position and that is something both
the Italians and the English want at the moment.
