The Nerazzurri defender insists that he will not talk to interested clubs until he has discussed his future with the San Siro outfit.
Cristian Chivu has voiced his allegiance to Inter Milan, and insists that he has put all talks of a move away from the Nerazzurri on hold, until his contract negotiations with the club.
The defender’s contract with the Milan outfit is set to expire at the end of the season, and the player is free to talk to interested parties in order to secure his future in football. However, the Nerazzurri defender is in no hurry to turn his back on the
club, that is going through a tough phase of its existence.
The Beneamata stopper stated that he has not made any contact with an outside party interested in his services. The defender insisted that he has decided that they will talk to Inter Milan before any other club, but stated that the time for any such meeting
with the Milan establishment has not been decided.
While talking to the press, his agent Joan Becali told Il Sussidiario:
“I’ll say it again, we have not spoken to anyone. The situation hasn’t changed over the last few days. I don’t know when but we will firstly hold a meeting with Inter at some stage. We won’t talk to other clubs before we negotiate with Inter.”
The 31-year old defender has not been a regular at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603.
The Nerazzurri has seen better days, and their disappointing form in the ongoing season has placed them 7th in the Serie A points table. They have already sacked two coaches in the year, and the club president, Massimo Moratti, has stated that
the club will be looking to rebuild their squad before the start of the new season.
The Beneamata president also mentioned that the club is looking to build a team that is fundamentally young. The statement from the Nerazzurri chief has cast shadow on the future of many of the senior members of the squad, including that of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristian-Chivu-c9519.
