The Argentine has conceded that Nerazzurri have played below par for majority of the season, and has targeted a European spot.

Inter Milan skipper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Javier-Zanetti-c18096, is realistic of the performances of his side, and has stated vehemently that their focus should shift from title hopes to finishing in the top three.
The realisation comes from the fact that there is a significant chance that La Beneamata might fall short of finishing in the top three, if they put the pressure of winning the title on themselves.
The Nerazzurri witnessed a great run of form, recording eight consecutive victories until the last month. However, they have had a set of disappointing results in February, most notably the recent 4-0 thumping at the hands of AS
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 over the weekend.
The Argentinean admitted to his team’s struggles against the Giallorossi, and is looking to learn from the game.
The Nerazzurri legend confessed to Sky Sports Italia,
“We played badly, Roma deserved to win and from tomorrow we'll start putting right what we did wrong.”
There has also been a lot of talk about a major overhaul of the Nerazzurri squad in the summer, but Zanetti is unconcerned by the talks.
“It’s normal to hear such things.  But memories are short. Our squad is one which has won everything over the last seven years.”
When probed about their aim for the Scudetto, Zanetti was quick to acknowledge where http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567’s priorities should lie. The 38-year old was of the view that they need to plan on winning against Novara, who will be their next opposition
in the Serie A.
Inter Milan president, Massimo Moratti, was critical of his team’s performance against the Giallorossi, saying that they needed to show more strength of character. Zanetti was in consensus with the critique of the President, and
has asked for more from his side. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Banfield-c38595 star believes that the players should take the President’s words as wake-up call and improve on their displays.
The Nerazzurri will take on bottom placed, Novara, on Sunday, February 12.
