A late goal from Mario Gomez totally shocked the World as Bayern Munich were able to defeat the current European Champions Inter Milan at the San Siro. Even though the game was about to end in a goalless deadlock in Milan, the German Champions Bayern

With the victory Bayern Munich are now standing tall after the first leg of the UEFA Champions League knock out stage as they managed to score an away goal. It was the Bayern Munich “wonder boy” Mario Gomez who scored a 90th minute
winner for the German Champions and gave them an edge against the current European and Italian Champions Inter Milan. The Germans deserved the victory as they got the best out of Inter Milan throughout the game.
As the game kicked off at the San Siro, the home team took advantage of the home crowd and the home ground. The Italian Champions took advantage of the early possession and ran forward to find the back of the net. The Cameroonian striker Samuel Eto’o
ran past the Bayern Munich defensive lines and was brought down right outside the 18 yard box. By winning an early free kick over the Germans, the home team managed to put pressure on the visitors. Eto’o blasted the free kick towards the goal but could not
find the target and threw away a wonderful opportunity for his side.
Even though Inter Milan looked to be the better side as the game started, the Germans later dominated in terms of shots on goal and possession. The German midfielder Bastian Shweinsteiger combined well with the Frenchman Frank Ribery and his fellow
German team mate Thomas Mueller. The three Munich stars troubled the Inter Milan midfield and defensive lines throughout the first half and kept on taking their chances on goal. The best chance came during the 20th minute of the game
for Bayern Munich. After a wonderful move created by the Germans that consisted of 22 passes, Munich’s star Luis Gustavo tried his luck on goal. The Brazilian goalkeeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Julio-Cesar-c19961 was simply left stranded as the shot came at him and luckily brushed past
the target giving http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan a life line.
After only a few minutes, the home side bounced back into the game. The former Barcelona man Samuel Eto’o was being a consistent threat towards the Bayern Munich defensive lines. The speedy striker found it easy to get past the Bayern centre backs
and during the 22nd minute, Eto’o gave a wonderful through ball towards http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Esteban-Cambiasso-c12912 who found himself alone in front of goal. However, he did not have much time on the ball so he tried to tap it in towards the goal. Even though
his shot looked to be finding the back of the net, the young Munich goal stopper Thomas Kraft made a wonderful safe for his side to give them the confidence they required. Moments later, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thomas-Kraft-c34971 was hailed as a hero once again as he saved a shot from
Samuel Eto’o. Even the Cameroonian thought he had scored from long way out but Kraft was on his toes and saved the day for his side to keep them alive in the game that was turning out to be very difficult especially while being away from home.
