Inter Milan striker, Diego Milito, has expressed his joy on the arrival of Gian Piero Gasperini at San Siro as the new head coach for the upcoming 2011/12 season. Milito worked under Gasperini back in the 2008/09 campaign, when the two worked together at
Genoa.
The striker showed great form under Gasperini and scored 22 goals in 42 appearances that season. His good form earned him a move to Inter Milan. By the arrival of the new tactician, Milito is confident that he would be able to replicate his successful form
from Genoa.
While talking to La Gazzetta dello Sport on Wednesday, the Argentinean greeted Gasperini and expressed his happiness.
“I’m content, actually I’m very happy with Gasperini’s arrival on the bench. We had a splendid season at Genoa where we enjoyed ourselves and we entertained others,” The hitman said.
Following an uneven season in the Italian top flight, where the Nerazzurri failed to defend their Scudetto title, Milito is confident that the coach will help the team find the same quality and good form. The striker told the reporters:
“We can again win everything on offer with Gasperini’s ideas and the quality squad which we have.”

“I know him well. He is a valuable player and I really do hope that he arrives at Inter,” concluded the Nerazzurri striker.
