The Rotterdammers technical director Martin van Geel has confirmed that his side is interested in luring the young striker to De Kuip Stadion on a season-long loan deal.
Recent reports in Dutch media were speculating that Feyenoord Rotterdam are taking keen interest in acquiring the services of Inter Milan striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luc-Castaignos-c22500, on a season-long loan deal.
The Rotterdammers technical director, Martin van Geel, has confirmed reports linking his side with the 19-year-old hit-man, and has revealed that the youngster is a serious option.
“Luc is definitely on our list, he is a serious option. If we can loan him from Inter, it would be great for the club”, Van Geel was quoted as saying to Voetbal International.
The promising young striker started his professional career at De Kuip Stadion in the 2009/10 season, and rapidly established himself as one of the key players in the Rotterdam giants’ squad.
He donned the jersey of the Stadiumclub in 37 Eredivisie matches and netted 15 goals before joining Inter in the summer of 2011 for a fee believed to be in the region of 6.5 million Euros.
Van Geel, who was appointed as the technical director at De Kuip Stadion in August 2011, has revealed that the fallen Eredivisie giants let go of Castaignos before his arrival, while stressing that the club lost an extremely talented player to the Serie
A giants.

be a problem for him to adjust here”, the technical director concluded.
Castaignos, who has thus far represented the Nerazurri in six matches and added his name to the score-sheet once, has an ongoing contract at San Siro that runs until the summer of 2016.
The young striker refused to move away from the Serie A outfit earlier this year on loan to enjoy regular playing time. However, reports indicate that the Dutchman would certainly welcome a move away from San Siro on loan this summer.
