The Nerazzurri launched a move for the Colombian in the January transfer window, and reports suggested the Beneamata sought help from AVB on the decision.
Inter Milan have had many high profile exits in these past two transfer windows, with Samuel Eto’o leaving in the last summer window and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Motta-c34897 leaving in the January
transfer window. There have been criticisms levied on the Nerazzurri which have mentioned the reason behind the current abysmal form in the Serie A have been due to the depletion in quality.
In order to fill the void in the quality left by such high profile exits, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 looked towards the acquisition of Fredy Guarin from Porto. There had been reports suggesting
that Inter Milan had first contacted his ex boss before confirming their interest in the Colombian.
Guarin was speaking to O Jogo and in his interview he mentioned that even though he had not spoken to his former boss regarding the situation, he still remarked that he
was in debt of the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 manager. He further mentioned that he knew that Villas-Boas had spoken highly about him, and remarked:
“I haven’t spoken to him yet, but if I am here at Inter then I owe him a lot. I know that Inter asked him about me and he responded with some very important words.”
The former Porto man has not been able to make a proper impact on the club as he arrived at the club carrying an injury. So far he has only been able to make two appearances
for the Nerazzurri after recovering from injury.
Guarin stated that he felt privileged to be at the club and would give his all for the Beneamata cause. He further went on to mention the history associated with the club
and remarked that he wanted to win trophies just like he did at Porto.
During his interview he further commented:
“It’s really important for me to be here at a club like this. Inter are a great institution and I want to win a lot – just like I did at Porto. We won nine trophies in three
years and I want to try and repeat that feat here in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926.”
Inter Milan will be looking for further enforcements in their squad come the transfer window.
