Italian giants Inter Milan are reportedly looking to sign FC Porto’s Fredy Guarin as a replacement for Thiago Motta, who is believed to be on the verge of signing for Paris Saint-Germain.
The Nerazzurri had to battle with constant rumours linking star playmaker Wesley Sneijder with a move to Manchester United over the course of the past year.
United had continually been making offers for the Dutch International and even though a fee had been agreed, the English Premier League champions could not come to an agreement over personal terms.
While United kept up their pursuit until recently, now it appears that the rumours have cooled. But it has also given to the rise of another possible transfer of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-c34888 Motta to Paris Saint-Germain.
With one of their star midfielders reportedly on his way out of San Siro, Inter have turned their attention to Fredy Guarin, whose progress they have been monitoring for quite some time.
Their interest in the Colombian International was confirmed by Marco Branca, who revealed that the club were in need of strengthening the centre of the park and in Guarin they had the ideal candidate.
"Guarín is a very interesting player and we need a midfielder. A move is certainly a possibility.”
However the official revealed that they had not made any contact with FC Porto over a transfer but added that he would try to convince Massimo Moratti to launch a bid for the 25-year-old.
"We made no proposal. But I'll talk to the president Moratti and then make a decision. Yes there was a meeting this week but I was not there because I'm out of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926,” Marco Branca was quoted as saying.

The Portistas are demanding nearly €13 million for their prized asset but reached a comprise on €11 million with Juve.
