  1. uhhmm,  Panama,..... their marijuana

    Brazil......... their cocaine

and uhhh,  Chicago.....  their mob bosses.

  2. Your question is a little confusing to me but I can tell you that I live in China where just about EVERY product in America is made. Many, many, many of those products I cannot find here in China. This doesn't answer your question, I know, but it's an interesting fact.

  3. There are several examples of international trade being shut off. The most famous and relevant one I can think of is an embargo (placed for political reasons) on a country. This has happened in Cuba, Afghanistan, Iraq, and many more nations in recent history. For example, the United Nations prevented Iraq from shipping out its oil in return for anything besides food and medicine. While this program ultimately turned out to be corrupt, the idea was that Iraq would no longer be able to buy weapons or military equipment, and so they would be without a viable fighting force.

The beautiful thing about globalization is that it makes nations less dependant on any one nation for their supplies (although it's still a process and this isn't necessarily uniformly true yet). If bilateral trade stops between two nations for whatever reason, each involved nation will most likely be able to buy identical or very similar products from another nation.
