Intercom/baby moniter - buzz/hum

Question

Recent purchase - replaced, same problem - loud buzz or hum on transmit
Could never use as baby monitor - buzz all day would drive you nuts.
Bad product? - need filter? - problem with my house wireing?
sounds like an old tube type amp. with a bad ground. No problem with any other electronics in the house
