The Pescara midfielder has garnered interest from a host of clubs, and it was touted that a move to PSG was all but finalised; however agent has denied such rumours.
The Delfini have been heavily involved in negotiations for the highly rated midfielder. Pescara won promotion into the Serie A under the guidance of Zdenek Zeman, who is now the coach of AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603; the Delfini are yet to appoint their head coach for the current
campaign.
Zeman had a core of young and highly talented players which included the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 after his impressive performances in the Serie B. The Italian club is keen to offload Marco Verratti to
generate funds for battling survival in the Serie A.
A deal in the region of 14 million Euros seemed to be decided between the two clubs, however, Verratti’s agent has come forth and stated that is not the case.
Daniele Sebastiani had also come forth and stated that Juventus need to show that they are really interested in signing the highly talented http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 U-21 star. Verratti also stated that he would love to play alongside his “idol”, Andrea Pirlo, indicating a
move to be made on the part of the Bianconeri.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Donato-c11546 Di Campli is Verratti’s agent and he remarked that any move to the Ligue 1 outfit was yet to be finalised and he stated:
“Moving to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 is not yet concluded. There is a strong interest, but it is not done today, it’s something that has gone around for the last couple of months.”
Di Campli went on to comment on the long transfer saga that Verratti has been a part of, and remarked that a lot of false information had been circulating the media, and he did not want to shed more light to it. However, his representative remarked that
the midfielder had a lot of suitors, and commented:
“There are so many interested and in such a way that you cannot imagine. What I will reiterate is that if Verratti goes to PSG then it is a defeat for Italian football.”
Juventus have not lodged any official bid for the midfielder as yet.
