Interest table for kids aged 3-5?

i have to set up an interest table at my setting for children aged 3-5 and im not to sure on what kind to do.so if you have any ideas can you please let me know. THANKS

  2. We do ours by themes and change it weekly:

    -Colours (do differnet colour each week)

    -Seasons (usually changed every few weeks)

    -A texture such as "soft items"

    -At the Beach (shells, sand, bucket)

    -Metal: Key, spoons etc.

    Or you can choose a book and explore a page a week.

    Have labels for things to promote literacy, have table at child's level, no chairs (children tend to explore more standing-atleast my kids do), encourage them to bring things from home.

    Nut and bolts

    Plastic Jars and lids and students have to match the lids to jars

    Discovery bottles ( D. Jeans's website has great ideas)

    Different type of beads and string or buttons

    Art supplies to make a collage
