How much are the fees usually per month for a condo? Who pays for taxes and if I do how do they assess the amount? Is it really cheaper than a house per month? Thanks. I found a condo for around 50,000

  1. Condo fees are all over the map, so you'd have to ask about any particular one.  The owner pays real estate taxes, and the taxing authority assesses based on their opinion of the value of that unit.  By the time you add the condo fees, it might or might not be cheaper than a house - cost usually is.

  2. I live in PA, my dues are $215 a month, they take care of garbage, yardwork, sewage, and water each month.  They also just put a new roof and new siding on my building.  I also have access to a pool and tennis courts.  I've seen them as low as $85 but go up to $1,500 in big cities like NYC.

  3. Depends on location, location, location. In Southern Cal, monthly association dues range from $250 to $400 per month. YOu, the owner pays for taxes. Amount is assessed according to the value of your condo when you bought it.

  4. All this will depend on the condo you buy fee can range anywhere from a fee hundred to 5 or 6 hundred bucks a month.  The more expensive the condo the more in association fees you pay each month.  Before buying you need to figure all this out, also some condos include a maintenance man for small fixes but make you pay an extra fee and others have it fully included in the association fees.
