Interested in finding a sailboat that has at least 6'4" headroom in cabin but only 3' keel; impossible?

i'm just looking to be pointed in a direction. havent been able to find this type of craft on my own. i'm looking at purchasing land that has 2-3 feet of water at low tide

Getting that kind of headroom is going to be a problem in itself ,except in a fairly large boat which follows that it will also have considerable draft.

For example, I  parted with a Catalina 22' that would bottom w/ 2' of water & it had a swing keel & a hinged rudder.

No where near 6' of headroom.

The Herreshoff " Nonesuch " is a "catboat" that could be suitable depending on length.

Beamy w/ lots of interior space ( not sure about the  6'-4" ) & they have a relatively shallow draft w/ shoal keel. might check them out.

is it 3ft. or 2 ft.. big difference. wih 3 you may find a double keel weighted but 2 feet is not feasible. you will need to know the depth with the boat loaded.

There are Sailboats with retractable keels. It a little more inconvenient as the a box in the floor of the boat. There are shallow draft fixed keel also. The main thing may depend on length, day sailer, cruiser etc.

I guess I should add. Headroom may be proportional to length. But, retractable keels can give the draft you want and headroom.

Pacific Seacraft Flika's draft 3' 6" and have 6' 2" headroom.  With a full keel, sitting in the mud for awhile won't do any damage.

On a large catamaran, you could easily find this headroom / draft.

On the Norfolk broads (UK) they have had sailing boats with lifting cabin roofs for 50 years or more. Very low headroom while sailing, but as soon as you moor up, you push the cabin roof up to give 6ft or more headroom.
